July 17, 2025, Westminster, MA — Rick and Linda Osborne have agreed to sell Wyoming Ace
Hardware in Wyoming, RI, to the Aubuchon Company, the oldest and largest family-owned
group of hardware stores in America. The store will be relocated to a nearby location in a
former Walgreens pharmacy in Richmond, RI, and will be rebranded to “Aubuchon Ace
Hardware.”
Following an October 31st settlement, the Aubuchon Company will operate 131 stores across
11 states.
“Rick built Wyoming Ace Hardware with heart, purpose, and a deep connection to the
community,” said William E. Aubuchon, IV, President & CEO. “For more than 22 years, he’s
created more than just a store, he’s built a trusted place where neighbors come together.
We’re honored to carry that spirit forward as we open our first store in Rhode Island and
reimagine it in a new location in Richmond.”

“It’s been an incredible journey building this store and serving the town I’ve been proud to call home,” said Rick Osborne. “What began as a dream turned into something much more, thanks to the friendships, memories, and sense of purpose we found in helping our neighbors.”

“I want to sincerely thank every customer who supported us and every team member who worked alongside me,” he continued. “You’ve all been like family, and I’ll miss you deeply. I wish you nothing but the best in the years ahead.”
“As I step into retirement, I’m grateful to pass the torch to the Aubuchon Company,” Rick added. “They share the same family values and community spirit that have always guided us. I hope they find as much joy in this business as I have.”
“We work hard, care for each other, and have fun,” said Aubuchon. “We’re excited to welcome the Wyoming team into our growing family and proud to carry on Rick’s legacy for
generations to come.”
